About this film

This very powerful program does not encourage people to quit smoking, but rather to never start. Geraldine brings new meaning to the term struggling actor. She was just a young woman when she began to smoke. It was, at the time, quite sophisticated, even bordered on glamorous. She smoked for the better part of her adult life and probably still would be if that nagging problem with her vocal cords had just cleared up. 18 surgeries later and her vocal cords removed, Geraldine struggles with an open hole in her throat to breath, the inability to speak, chronic pain and the need to stick a tube down her throat daily to keep her esophagus open. Can you imagine?
