About

From educational video pioneers to academic streaming

Film Ideas, Inc. has produced and distributed award-winning educational video for decades from Wheeling, Illinois — titles reviewed and recommended by Video Librarian, Library Journal, and Educational Media Reviews, and adopted in classrooms nationwide.

Academic Streaming is the next chapter: the same curated documentary collection, licensed the way higher education actually buys — campus-wide, catalog-ready, and billed by purchase order.

What carries over

• Documentaries selected for undergraduate teaching, across 16 academic subjects.
• Closed captioning as standard practice, not an upsell.
• Classroom exhibition rights — the way educational licensing has always worked.

What changes

• No more DVDs by mail or per-title purchase orders — one subscription, whole collection.
• Streaming on campus and off, embedded in your LMS.
• Usage data that helps you defend the renewal.
